Strategies for Classroom

Four Corners

  1. The Teacher will mark 4 corners of the classroom with letters or numbers that are going to be the options of the students.
  2. The Teacher show to the students their four options, this sentences can be True or False and must indicate the terms of election.
  3. The Students must read the options and choose their answer.
  4. the student should move to the corner that has the mark of their answer.
  5. In pairs, the students will share the reasons justifying their choice.



 Word Splash!
 Before the lesson:
  1. The student will write six words that the teacher is going to provide, one in each "splash".
  2. The Students will write individually what they think when they heard/readed the word.
  3. The students must make conections based on their experiences and what they think that the words means.
During the Lesson: 
  1. The students must be ready to hear the words during the lesson.
  2. As the words are introduced, the students should add the new learning to the "splash".
  3.  The students may have the support if their shoulder partner and they can use their native language



Collaborative Poster:

 The collaborative postter is a work that is done as it's name shows collaborative but every participant must use only one color that may be assigned by the teacher.
The students can use pictures, words, phrases, senttences and even their native language.
This strategy can be used in:
  1. Pre-assessment
  2. During a lesson
  3. Assessment-formative/summative.
